my special trip of the year was to fly to edinburgh, scotland to photograph the wedding of cary+marza! with bated breath, friends and family watched as the two lovebirds (finally) tied the knot. the details in this wedding…oh, where do i start? … hmm, let’s start with rings…
and while we’re on the topic of jewelry, marza had on a unique necklace that was handmade by a local artist in scotland…stunning, isn’t it?
and then there was the celebration of cary’s childhood obsession love for lego…not only was the cake placed on top of a lego castle, handbuilt by cary…
…each table at the reception hall had a box of lego for guests to have fun with! of course, the kids went nuts…
other traditional elements were to be expected…what’s a scottish wedding without kilts?
the ringbearer in the kilt image had a special task…he was to hand deliver the rings to each and every guest, so that they could individually bless the rings with their love and good wishes, setting the start to a beautiful beginning of wedded bliss between cary+marza.
…the rings they hold in both of their hands as their bridal party solemnized their vows with ribbons tied around their hands.
but i think that no other hands in the courtyard that day were more tightly clenched in anticipation than cary’s…
…ah, tension releases with a good party! scottish weddings are never complete without bagpipes and kicking kilts!
…congratulations, cary+marza!
