ROADTRIP!
what do you get when you put two photographers in one car on the way to seattle and back? a lotta photodocumentation!
first there was the ice cream truck, parked strategically next to the 45minute wait to get through the corder at aldergrove:
and of course, the ice cream to be had while we wait in tracey’s car for 45 minutes to get through the border at aldergrove (did i say that already?)
after we got settled in a wonderful bed-and-breakfast that tracey found, we went out for a photodocumentation-slash-search-for-food walk. silly jeanie taking a picture of a photographer taking a picture of a beautiful detail in the wall of a beautiful house:
another perspective on flora:
and then a chance encounter with beautiful details on the door of saint mark’s cathedral.
tracey and i opted for amazing thai food, but seattle-ites were perfectly happy to wait for their burger and fries at dick’s. upon investigation, i found out that dick’s is a tradition that is not to be missed! too bad we were filled to our eyebrows with pad thai…
the next morning, before we left, albert from the bed and breakfast made us a STELLAR breakfast (tracey is HUNGRY):
well-fed, we headed to everett for our now i lay me down to sleep workshop. tracey introduced me to this amazing not-for-profit foundation that organises photographers who want to donate their time and services to helping families that have suffered the tragedy of the death of their newborn baby. nilmdts photographers give grieving families heirloom photographs of their beautiful babies to honor, cherish and share the spirits of their lives.
if you are a photographer who would like to be involved in such an amazing organisation, please click on the above website and right-click on for photographers, or get in touch with me. i’ll put you in touch with the right people

seriously..i had the greatest time with you.
thank you for being just simply you.
love you much friend.

The shot at the table is hilarious – is that the effects of eating a diet of donuts, cupcakes and ice-cream?
tracey’s expression made the shot
donuts … donuts and cupcakes! donuts and cupcakes and ice cream!!
